This uniquely designed pelvic wand is covered in silky smooth, medical-grade silicone. It was created by a pelvic physical therapist to relieve trigger points in the pelvic floor muscles, including the most deep and hard to reach obturator internus and puborectalis muscles
• Silky smooth medical-grade silicone for comfortable insertion and removal
• Uniquely sized ends are perfect for vaginal or rectal use
• Shaped to reach both superficial and deep pelvic floor muscles for relief of pelvic pain
HOW TO USE
Step 1
Wash the wand with warm water and soap and designate a place in your home that is safe, quiet and comfortable, such as your bed.
Step 2
Decide which end to use. The curved end with the pointed tip is helpful for addressing trigger points closer to the entrance of the vagina or rectum. The longer, rounded end is often helpful for reaching deep tender points in the rectum or vagina.
Step 3
Use a generous amount of water-based lubricant on the first 1 to 2 inches of the desired treatment end of the wand, as well as the opening of the vagina. The use of a water-based lubricant is important to preserve the medical grade silicone of the wand.
Step 4
Start by lying on your back with your knees bent and feet planted. Some people may prefer to lie on their side instead. If that’s the case, be sure to bend your knees and support your top leg with a folded pillow between your knees.
Step 5
Begin your session by breathing in and allowing your belly to expand, followed by exhaling, allowing your belly to slowly fall. The act of slowly exhaling helps to naturally relax the pelvic floor muscles. Repeat the deep breathing pattern, and continue to do so steadily and deliberately. Gently bring the wand to the opening of the vagina and carefully insert it on an exhale.
Step 6
Gently sweep the end of the wand until you encounter a tender point. When you find tender point, gently compress the end of the wand into the tender point with the same firmness you would use to check a tomato for ripeness. For example, don’t press so hard you squish your tomato.
Step 7
Maintain gentle pressure on the tender point and slowly move your bent knee left and right until you find a position that stops the pain in the pelvic floor muscle. When you find this position, remain there for 1 to 2 minutes to allow the tender point to fully release. Continue to breathe deeply.
Customer reviews
It’s just scary looking. But, I definitely need to figure out how to use it. I’m sure it will be quite helpful as it was recommended by my physical therapist.
I have pelvic floor dysfunction and endometriosis (for which ive had two surgeries, the last one being an excision surgery). This was recommended to me by my physical therapist and by the endometriosis summit. It helps so much with getting my vagina muscles to relax and helps my pfd greatly. I totally recommend it to my endo sisters that have pfd, but consult a pelvic flood physical therapist that does internal pt as to how to use it at home.
Pelvic floor muscle spasm release.
My wife bought it and I was like, no one is going to be afraid of a purple snake with no features. Jeeze! Silly girl. I know I didn't jump when I saw it in the floor. But then I saw what it's used for .......my eyes can't unsee it.
My physical therapist recommended this item to strengthen my pelvic floor after medical procedure. It is so much easier to use because of it's shape and the different diameters of each end of the wand. It comes in a discreet velvet bag, making it easy to travel with or store. For anyone suffering pelvic floor damage, this is the only tool you will need.
I have severe pelvic pain (endometriosis and other fun “female” problems) and have been in severe pain. Unfortunately I’m no longer in physical therapy, so I found this alternative and THANK GOD. It’s the most relief I’ve had in a long time. Using it can be painful, but it’s like a massage type pain and I can tell it’s paying off. If you’re in pain and considering trying to be your own physical therapist, I highly recommend investing in one of these.
Works well for me. It was obviously made my a PT who understood the needs this device meets. My own PT recommended this for me and taught me how to use it.
What a smart and usual product. I champion the therapist to created this. You can tell that it was designed by someone who has the experience needed.
I’m a physical therapist but using this for myself. It’s designed very well and does what it is intended to do
I highly recommend this product. My physical therapist helped me learn best strategies for using it and it helps augument our sessions
Did exactly what I needed. I run and had a baby 9 months ago. Was noticing abnormal tightness in my pelvic floor and saw a PT. Turns out my muscles got really tight from the healing after baby and running was increasing the tightness, This device released the tightness almost immediately. Only had to use it a few times. After a run if I feel that unusual pain, it takes it away quickly.
Very helpful for pelvic floor pain continuing long after childbirth. PT recommended this as I was having difficulty walking. This helps a lot, and given enough time the trigger points go away and don't flare up as often.
Absolutely love these wands and use them with all of my pelvic health patients.
This product is as advertised. I'm using it for pelvic floor exercises. It was recommended to me by my PT therapist and I purchased on Amazon instead of directly from the manufacturer. I know Amazon stands behind products they sell.
It's hard, but coated with a substance that makes it useful. My pelvic floor PT said to use the larger end to prevent too deep entry. Very effective on muscles near opening. The best tool for the job. Love the purple!
I think this could help a lot of people with tight muscles that cause pain. A physical therapist suggested it, and showed me how to use it. Just holding some pressure in the sore spot, and voila- you are on your way to healthier, relaxed muscles!
Great for post partum recovery and scar tissue. I recommend using it with their vagina balm. The website is full of encouragement for recovering mamas. Thank you!
Use this in conjunction with a trained pelvic floor physical therapist and pelvic pain will resolve!
Physical therapy tool for pelvic floor. Awesome at trigger point release therapy
I bought this after Physical Therapy to help with scare tissue. Wasn’t sure what to expect but it really worked. It keeps the original shape. Great for pressure point release.
I struggled with pelvic trigger points following the birth of my child. This wand was perfect and helping to target and release them. Packaging was extremely discrete and website/included instruction were helpful. I used this item only after being diagnosed by a pelvic floor pt and would recommend that to anyone who has concerns.
Such a wonderful product at such a great price. It’s kinda hard to use at first to learn your trigger points but once you get used to it- it’s great!
Really helped me with my pelvic floor therapy after surgery for endometriosis. Helped release the lower pelvic muscles which were causing leg and back pain. Highly recommend!
